Words Have Impact

2024 Holiday Puzzle

It is a Words Have Impact holiday tradition to offer up a puzzle every year–with the prospect of some witty holiday fun. The 2024 Holiday puzzle is below. Enjoy!

Every year, Santa assigns an elf to put together the music program for the North Pole. This year’s elf was in a bad mood for some reason—maybe he was snubbed by a reindeer, or was upset over the election for head elf, or maybe he just had his tinsel in tangle. Out of spite, he listed this year’s songs…but did so by replacing most of titles with their antonyms—words that meant the opposite!

You can help out by deciphering what the real song list was, given those antonyms. Example:

The Large Instrumentalist Gal …….. The Little Drummer Boy

(An instrumentalist is someone who plays an instrument that is not a drum, gal instead of boy…you get the idea. But note! Some antonyms might be individual words, or whole phrases, or concepts…so put your thinking cap on!)

Taking something dark, gloomy, or negative and finding the actual positives behind it is indeed a skill that serves us well in business, and in life. Have fun with it! Answers will be posted after 1/1/2025.
